Tuesday comes to a close

After lunch, the girls decided to have a "book club". Both Hailey and Olivia are reading for summer programs so they decided they would start with a bang. Believe it or not, they read for a solid 2 hours. I tried to persuade them to move on....(hey kids do you know how much that wii cost me? put down those books and play some video games!)...but to no avail.




The boys took this as a "finally we get the pool to ourselves" moment and swam a little more (duh). They tried their best in making rafts out of items around the pool and lo and behold they found things already. Yes, that is a cooler.



A little later, the girls rejoined them. The girls look like real adventurers don't they? They couldn't let the boys have all the fun! I even let them take the twins' life jackets off so they could help teach them to swim. What little mother hens they were!

Finally, as the pool lost its magic, they decided to come see what I was doing on the porch. Why making letterboxing stamps of course! Everyone got excited and began the process of making their own stamp. Pretty good artists we have in this family!




Now tomorrow around lunch, we are heading out into the world to find letterboxes and have a picnic lunch with the rest of the Palmer family! Wish us luck!
