Well, the good news is everyone slept til 8:30, or at least no one stirred until then. We (they) decided it would be a little more fun to eat cake for breakfast so we all snuck a piece!! yummy!! Then, we (I) decided I'd better feed them a little more that so Olivia and Hailey made scrambled eggs and I made bacon. Yummy still, and we won't be crashing at 11 am!
After breakfast we watered the vegetables and flowers in the garden. While I picked up around the pool from the night before, Dawson, Olivia, Hailey, Reagan and Robyn went swimming. Yes, while probably invigorating, swimming at 8:30am just doesn't appeal to me. lol
I watered the flowers around the pool and the fairy garden and after a while Dawson finally asked, "Do you do this every morning?" I told him I did most days and the fact I had little ones outside gave me the extra incentive do so. That was a good explanation for him, and he filled up a water gun from the ice-filled cooler and squirted the girls. Squeal! Squeal! Squeal!
Olivia and Reagan found a little treasure by the pool. One of the cards Blake had opened the night before had a surprise inside. Reagan thought it was called sparkles, but Olivia informed her it was confetti. "Confetti?" she asked. Reagan learned a new word.
So, breakfast, watering the garden, swimming and learning a new word all before 10 am! This is proving to be a pretty good vacation!
